lyrics

In the city of madness
They lie in the slumber of ages
Aeons before the first men
they came and brought their images with them
Haunting the dreams, planting their vicious schemes
to free themselves once again as stars are right

"Ph’nglui mglw’nafh Cthulhu R’lyeh wgah’nagl fhtagn"

In the city of madness
They lie dormant in their houses of stone
Preparing for their second coming
cults were formed among men under their subconscious rule
Horrid nightmares made flesh in bas-reliefs
and visions of their city so vivid, yet beyond belief

"Cthulhu! R’lyeh!
Ph’nglui mglw’nafh Cthulhu R’lyeh wgah’nagl fhtagn"

In the city of madness
Their high priest lies in wait
Now sunken and cut off from this world
their horrid city with great monoliths now under the waves
But the cult is still alive and the city will emerge
and from those absurd structures The Old Ones will arise and claim the world

"Cthulhu! R’lyeh!
Ph’nglui mglw’nafh Cthulhu R’lyeh wgah’nagl fhtagn"
